Sports Tourism Makes a Cautious Comeback

With the gradual lifting of the community quarantine in some major cities and provinces in the Philippines where more activities are allowed, the recovery of sport tourism in the country is slowly moving forward into preparing for the revival of sports activities. Whether it’s competitive or non-competitive sports, the country is encouraged to proceed with safety protocols in mind despite the threat of Covid-19.

Davao Hailed as Sports Tourism Hub; Receives 3rd PSTA Trophy

The 3rd Philippine Sports Tourism Awards recently concluded with its roster of movers and shakers of sports tourism. Davao City, together with Sunrise Events Inc., was among the awardees—bagging the Destination Marketing of the Year Award for hosting the 70.3 Ironman triathlon of 2018.

Cebu Bags 2 Awards for Sports Tourism

The recently concluded 3rd Philippine Sports Tourism Awards held in Resorts World Manila last November 26, 2019 feted two awardees from Cebu City: Marco Polo Cebu Plaza as Hotel of the Year, and The Philippine National Games in Cebu City as the domestic event of the year for 2018.
